MAIN STREET MYSTERIES & THRILLERS BOOK CLUB
Vicksburg District Library introduces a new book club that meets at Main St. Pub! This book club, for adults only, reads mysteries and thrillers. Participants aren’t required to buy alcohol, but they are asked to support the restaurant by ordering something. The April meeting is at 6PM on Wednesday, April 16. We will discuss The Lost Man by Jane Harper. If you need assistance requesting a copy of the book from MeL, the library’s clerks will be happy to help you.

BOOK BOXES FOR ADULTS
Book Boxes contain books based on personalized recommendations from criteria that you specify, all inside a box with treats: salty, sweet, and a little surprise. Registration is limited to 5 boxes per month. Registration for Book Boxes is now closed. It will reopen on May 1.
How Book Boxes work: You tell us your reading preferences – what you’re looking for and what you’re not looking for – and you’ll get a box with three surprise library books and some treats. The books and boxes are checked out like any other library book and returned on their due date.

WRITERS’ MOTIVATIONAL GROUP
A writers’ group where members discuss and practice writing, encourage one another, report progress, and respond to short writing prompts. This program is for adults only. We meet from 4:00-5:00pm on Thursdays, March 13, April 10, and May 8.

BOOK CLUB FOR ADULTS
The Vicksburg District Library’s Book Club for Adults meets on the first Thursday of the month from 9:30 – 10:30am. Our May meeting will be on May 1. Coffee, tea, and breakfast treats are provided. Newcomers are always welcome. For our May meeting, we will read and discuss the frequently banned books “Speak” by Laurie Halse Anderson and “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. Book Club for Adults is for adults 18+ only.
