Do you know what you are dressing as for Halloween? As a librarian (and a good witch), I decided to keep it simple and go as a cute black cat. But what about a great literary character? People all over the world would recognize Sherlock Holmes. And how many Harry Potters have we seen in recent years? Are there any literary characters you’ve dressed up as? Let us know! We may feature you on our Instagram account!
This Week
This Sunday, October 19th, join Youth Librarian Stephanie and a slew of other libraries as they invade the Kalamazoo County Expo Center for Geek Fest! The event is from 11:00am to 3:00pm and is a free, all-ages celebration of geek culture in all its forms. Think of it as a mini comic con! For more information, visit the Geek Fest Facebook page.
Teens get a chance to relax with Bulldog Break Time on Wednesday, October 16th at 2:45pm. Youth Librarian Stephanie will have snacks, games, legos, and the Wii set up so students from 6th to 12th grade can chill and take a breather.
