Happy 2021 everyone from the Vicksburg District Library! It seems hard to believe that we are through the holidays and already a week into the new year. That being said, we have a couple of small updates for you to get you up to speed with what is going on here…
WE ARE STILL CURBSIDE
Yes, the Library is still closed to the public, but providing Curbside Services INDEFINITELY. When we do open to the public again, we will be sure to let you know here and via our social media accounts. That being said, a couple of notes:
First, please remain in your car for appointments. Only exit your car to return items to our drop boxes, then please return to your vehicle. We will do all the running for you.
Second, please wear a mask for the appointment. Remember, we are all in this together and want to keep everyone, whether patron or staff, safe and healthy!
Next, you must have an appointment to receive service. Walk up appointments are strictly NOT served for health and safety reasons.
Lastly, here are the services we CAN fulfill at this time:
- picking up items
- coping items that are already printed by a patron
- faxing items
- laminating items
- registering and renewing library cards
And here are the services NOT available at this time:
- printing from email, downloads, and USB drives
- resizing hard copies and/or photos
- computer usage/laptop checkout
If you have any other questions about any of the above, feel free to contact us at (269) 649-1648 or at info@vicksburglibrary.org
ONLINE PROGRAMMING IS BACK
Starting this morning, our regular streaming services via Facebook Live are back!
Mrs. W is kicking everything off with Online Story Time, which is held every Monday morning at 10:30am. If you would like to reserve a Story Time Crafts Kit to make the experience even better, be sure to check out our Infants, Toddlers & Preschoolers page, or you can simply register for one here!
This afternoon, Adrianne the Librarian is back with Books & Brews! During this program, she touches on a few different books she’s read as of late. But she also shares a fun drink recipe to help you relax and enjoy those new good reads. Today she’ll be going over what she read in 2020, how she kept track, broke down her stats, and other notes about how to set a reading challenge for the new year. Be sure to check in and see what’s up!
